All NFC tags have about a 2% failure rate. Bad inlays are identified by a black mark on the surface. We do our best to remove bad inlays from the roll but we can’t guarantee it unless the tags were ordered pre-encoded. If you purchase our encoding service, each NFC tag in your order is guaranteed to work since the tag has to be in working condition to be programmed.
When proofing your project make sure to account for this.
There are no returns on encoded or printed products, or custom projects.
You can return a new, unused product if you pay for return shipping. But please take note: we will only take back absolutely brand new products.
How does an NFC tag qualify as “new”?
- It has never, ever been initialized. And we do mean never. You can't just "erase" the data to make the tag new again.
- It hasn't been written to
- If it is an NFC sticker, it can't be peeled off the adhesive backing
- It hasn't been physically altered in any way. You can't have taken a Sharpie to it.
If any of the above isn't true, we will not accept it back.
Contact us and we’ll correct the issue.
